♠ HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!♠ 

1.  November is Membership Game Month at F&G.  Please check the calendar for the exact date of this special event for your favorite game(s).  These games pay extra places and extra points to participants, but do not cost any extra money.  Both members of a pair must be ACBL members in order for either to earn awards.

2.  There will be two Two-Session Unit Championships this month.  The first one will take place on two different days; the first session is Tuesday, November 13th, with the second to follow on Friday, November 16th.  Both games begin at 10:30 am.  The second will take place on Saturday, November 17th, with the first session at 1:00 pm (a club game), and the second one at 6:30 pm (a Unit game).  In order to place in the Overall, you must play with the same partner, and you must play on both days.  Sectiions awards will still be available if you play on only one day, or if you play with different partners.  Fun and Games will pick up the extra charge(s) for the club games.

3.  There will be an encore presentation of Linda Hughes' Squeezes for Everyone class on November 17th at 10:00 am.  It starts at 10:00 am and will be over at 12 noon.  If you missed it the first time, this is your chance to learn all about this play technique.  Linda has generously offered to waive the fee for all who attended the first session, but who feel the need for a refresher.  The fee for first-timers is $20.

4.  Steve Mayer is teaching Beginner III on Thursday nights from 6:30 - 8:30 pm, beginning on November 1st and running through December 13th (no class on November 22nd).  If you would like to attend, please contact him at [email protected].  Cost for the entire course is $120.

5.  Fun and Games will be closed on Thursday, November 22nd, in observance of Thanksgiving Day and also on November 30th, December 1st and 2nd in support of Unit 167's Sectionaal Tournament.
