The Fun and Games family has lost one of the pillars of our community with the passing of Ron Henke.
Ron was a prominent figure in the bridge world, both in Oklahoma City and in the nation, for many years. He partnered with many of the game's best players in several large national tournaments. Additionally, he owned a successful club, where he taught many fine players to play our favorite game.
In addition to bridge, Ron loved to fish. He took as many trips as his time permitted until his health would no longer allow him to go.
Horse racing was also one of Ron's passions. He developed his own system for picking winners and was quite successful. His wife Jo says that he paid for their home with his winnings, which is quite an accomplishment.
Ron was an invaluable help in getting Fun and Games off the ground and continued to be supportive right up until his death. His knowledge of the game and the laws that govern it was vast, and he shared that knowledge freely. We will miss him, his stories, his wonderful abilities as a teacher and mentor, and his sense of humor for a very long time, but he will always be in our hearts.
